New offer of the European Centre – multimedia guide to the Stalag VIII A Memorial
An audio guide to the Stalag VIII A Memorial has been published as part of the Interreg project ‘To know and to understand. Memory for the Future’ project, an audio guide to the Stalag VIII A Memorial was published. It contains two tracks, one on the historical theme “German prisoner of war camp Stalag VIII A” and the other on “Music as a means of survival”.
The audio guide will lead you through the grounds of the former Stalag VIII A prisoner of war camp. Moving from station to station, you will learn about the history of the site and the prisoners of war imprisoned here. In addition, you will hear information about the structure and organisation of the camp, accounts of daily life in the camp or information about the fate of individual prisoners of war.

How does the audio guide work?
To activate the audio guide, you will need a card with a special code. By visiting www.nub.art or scanning the QR code from the card, you will gain access to the audio guide. All you need is a smartphone with internet access to use it.

Where can I find the card with the code?
Special cards with a QR code and (if you do not know how to use the QR code) an activation code are available free of charge at:
