The Messiaen Tage festival planned for January 13-15, 2024 has been canceled due to a funding issue.

 

The performance of the “Quartet on the End of Times” by O. Messiaen on 15.01.2024 at 7 p.m. in the European Center for Remembrance, Education and Culture in Zgorzelec remains unaffected. Three pieces will be performed: “Après, le Silence” (2022) by Dahae Boo, “Stalag VIII A” (2018) by Tristan Murail and “Quatuor pour la fin du temps” (1941) by Olivier Messiaen, performed by Ensemble Ecoute (FR). The concert will be framed by a light installation by Juan Ignacio Guerra (ESP).

The performance of the quartet is made possible by the support of the Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen and the Sparkassenstiftung Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien.
