SUMMARY:Kindermiasto
DESCRIPTION:Kindermiasto “unsere stadt – our city” takes place in Görlitz-Zgorzelec every two years during the summer break in Poland and Saxony. All children between the ages of 7 and 14 are invited to participate. For two weeks\, about 200 participating children have the opportunity to create their own city. This is not only an opportunity to try out for a chosen profession\, but also to run for mayor\, meet new friends and experience how international and intercultural cooperation can work.

DESCRIPTION:The annual performance of Olivier Messiaen’s musical masterpiece “Quartet to the End of Time” \,has become an emboldening and inspiring ritual at the start of the new year for the people of the Euroregion. In 2017 the association connected this traditional to a multi-day festival in order to connect people from both sides of the river Neisse and from all over Europe at this unique place of history (of music). International artists meet with historians researching the region´s recent history and visitors are invited to experience contemporary music in a historical ambience of the Polish-German twin city and to join tours and lectures as to approach the tense topic of art and war.

DESCRIPTION:Worcation means creative and international work in a historical place – Stalag VIII A. Every summer\, young people come together in the Twincity of Görlitz-Zgorzelec on the German-Polish border to experience history at first hand at a place that has been almost forgotten for decades\, the former German Prisoner of War Camp Stalag VIII A. During two weeks\, the participants gain extraordinary experiences during the workshops and the exchange with people from different countries\, speaking different languages and by learning from history as well as transferring this knowledge to today’s world events in order to be able to shape Europe together.
